REGULATION 14

From 1 January 1996 all low level glazing in workplaces where or the public are likely to come into contact should where necessary for reasons of health and safety be of safety material or be protected against breakage.

This is the first legislation to be retrospective and includes existing buildings not just new developments and refurbishments.

Only the critical locations which form, or are part of the internal and external walls and doors or shops, showrooms, offices, factories, public or other non-domestic buildings.

In other words all glazing where any part is below 800mm in height and if its within or adjacent to a door all glazing up to 1500mm
